Welcome to the 8th Government Law College International Law Summit 2017, hosted by Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai from 3rd February to 5th February 2017. This prestigious event, themed "Competition Law and Policy," brought together distinguished legal professionals, scholars, and students to discuss and debate the pivotal issues shaping competition law and policy on a global scale.


Event Highlights:

  • Theme: The Summit centred on "Competition Law and Policy," addressing a wide range of topics including antitrust laws, market regulation, mergers and acquisitions, and the role of competition authorities.

  • Keynote Address: Eminent keynote speakers provided profound insights into the latest trends and future directions of competition law, setting the tone for the Summit.

  • Panel Discussions: Leading experts engaged in dynamic panel discussions on critical issues such as cartel regulations, abuse of dominance, and the impact of competition policies on global markets.

  • Competitions: The Summit featured various academic competitions, including the Judgment Deliberation Competition (JDC) and the Treaty Appreciation Competition (TAC), showcasing the analytical and advocacy talents of law students.

Winner of the Inter-Treaty Appreciation Competition, 2017:

  • Best Team - Indian Law Society, Pune.

  • Runner-Up Team - Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

  • Best Member - Kanupriya Sharma, Symbiosis Law School Pune.

  • Best Critique - Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
