Dr. Smt. Asmita Advait Vaidya
Principal, GLC, Mumbai
Smt. Dr. Asmita Vaidya, is a visionary leader, skilled administrator, and dedicated educationist. With over 25 years of experience in the academic and social sectors, she has consistently driven impactful reforms and initiatives. Before joining Government Law College, Mumbai, Dr. Vaidya served as the Head of the Law Department at NMD College, Gondia, and as the Principal of Thakur Law College. Throughout her journey, she has excelled in diverse leadership roles, collaborating with faculty and staff to introduce innovative programs that enhance both academic and institutional growth.
A gold medallist and university topper in both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and earned her PhD in Industrial Law in 2009. Her accomplishments have been recognised through prestigious awards, including the ‘Tejaswini’ Award, the ‘Nation Builder Award, and the ‘Top Educator Award 2022’ by the Rhythem Group.
Beyond academia, Dr. Vaidya is also a passionate social activist, working tirelessly to effect positive change and empower communities. Her leadership continues to inspire and shape the future of legal education at our college.

Mr. Shoaib Shaikh

Shoaib is a third-year law student at Government Law College, Mumbai, enrolled in the 5-year integrated programme, with a profound interest in philosophy. Alongside his legal studies, Shoaib has completed a Bachelor of Arts degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts remotely through IGNOU. His academic pursuits span a diverse array of disciplines, including history, psychology, political science, sociology, and public administration, all of which inform his analytical approach to the law. Shoaib's commitment to intellectual exploration is reflected in his deep engagement with literature, world cinema, and global affairs, nurturing a unique perspective that enriches his work within SPIL Mumbai.
Ms. Anuja Adukathil

Anuja is a persistent third-year BA LLB student at GLC, Mumbai with a keen passion for humanitarian law. Apart from academics, she has dedicated several years of her life in mastering the dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam. While she finds some free time for herself, she indulges herself into novels reading a spectrum of genre from crime thrillers to fantasy and fiction. Additionally, she is also an ardent fan of anime. She tries to find an escape from the digital world going on hikes and admiring its beauty.
Ms. Sanika Bhoye

Sanika is a third-year BA LLB student who is dedicated to expanding her knowledge within the field of law and deepening her understanding of both domestic and international legal frameworks. Certified in DELF A2 level of French, she is currently advancing her proficiency by pursuing the B1 level. Alongside her studies, she has a vibrant passion for music and enjoys learning various instruments. Additionally, she has a keen interest in exploring different cultures and traveling, broadening her perspective and enriching her legal education.
Ms. Mahek Mulani

Mahek is a dedicated third-year BA LLB student at GLC, Mumbai, with a strong interest in finance and a focus on international economics. She is captivated by numbers and their influence on the global economy. Outside her studies, Mahek enjoys playing the piano, reading a wide range of books, and exploring both familiar and new places, whether in bustling cities or quieter scenic spots. Her love for travel inspires her to experience different cultures and perspectives. While she appreciates the vibrant energy of city life, Mahek also values spending time in nature, finding peace and inspiration in the outdoors.
